Server-class performance
At Embedded World 2016, Theobroma Systems is introducing the first SoM featuring Applied Micro’s 64-bit ARMv8 HeliX® 2 ARM® processor. The SoM has been designed to address industrial, networked, embedded applications requiring the processing power of a high-performance “Server-on-a-chip”, e.g. in cloud computing or data center applications.
The processing power of up to four 2GHz 64-bit ARM processors and multiple high-speed interfaces—such as 10GbE, 1GbE, SATA and PCIe—are embedded within the COM Express Compact form factor.
Scalability in power and performance
Theobroma Systems also will be presenting the first Octo-Core Qseven System-on-module featuring Allwinner Technologies’ A80 Cortex-A7/A15 processor. The module offers an easy upgrade path for current and future QSeven applications due to its standardized pin-out.
Intelligent, IPv6-enabled PLC devices
N-PLC and wireless technology in an IPv-6 media bridging application will be demonstrated—highlighting Theobroma Systems’ core strength in stand-alone and processor nPLC and wireless technologies.
Providing device security and integrity
Secure computing modules by STMicroelectronics—providing secure key storage functionality—are integrated in all of Theobroma Systems’ SoMs.
Addressing today’s demanding requirements for device security and integrity enables trust in networked applications in IoT and Industry 4.0.
